For years I watched women who loved God and believed their assignment was real stay in the same place season after season. They were not doubting Him. They were doubting themselves. They prayed, started, stopped, and started again.
For years, I put everyone else’s needs ahead of my own. I had dreams and things I believed God wanted me to do, but something always seemed to need my attention first. Eventually, I began to wonder if I had missed my window.
Some people questioned my decisions to go to college and start my own business. But my husband believed in me, and God kept reminding me that what He was doing in my life was valuable to others.
I finished my degree, started consulting with women business owners, and watched women begin to thrive as they recognized their value and pursued what God had placed on their hearts.
Along the way, I learned how important it is to be careful whose voice we listen to. Other people’s opinions don’t determine what God has called us to do. We have to learn to recognize and trust the voice of Jesus.
Today, I help women finish what God told them to start because I know firsthand that just because something has taken longer than expected doesn’t mean God is finished with it.
